Work/Crew
A shared home that runs itself.

Why I'm building it
Everyone who has shared a home knows the job nobody signed up for: remembering. Who paid for the groceries, whose turn it is to take out the trash, what the internet came to this month. One person ends up holding it, and holding it slowly turns them into the house accountant and the house nag.
What wears a home down is rarely the money or the mess. It is the conversation about them. Asking a friend to pay you back feels petty. Reminding them about the bathroom feels like parenting. So people keep quiet, keep score in private, and the score comes out months later, bigger than any bill ever was.
The split apps people know best are loved for trips: a weekend away, settled once and forgotten. A home is not a trip. The same people come back every week, with the same small debts and the same chores, and they need something that keeps going without anyone pushing it.
If the counting lived somewhere neutral, the awkward sentence would never need saying. The app says who owes what. The task list says who has which chore this week. Nobody has to be the one who remembers.
That is Crew: expenses, chores, notes and shared documents in one place everyone in the house opens, with the math done and every chore assigned.
Living with people you like should stay that way. This is how I think it can.

If it's the kind of thing I'd still be turning over on a weekend, I'd love to hear about it.
